Depending on somebody else no matter if they win is not a good formula for a soccer team who wants to stay in the first division. Real Zaragoza needs to win and Deportivo La Coruña has to lose in order to preserve a spot in one of the most popular divisions around the world. They will face the difficult Levante next weekend playing away in a game that will flow blood out of their veins. Real Zaragoza is one point behind Deportivo who will meet Valencia at home and its one of the games of the week.
Last fixture Real Zaragoza beat Español at home by the minimum score however is not enough since they lost two games before so it’s one of those teams which have been called inconsistent. Real Zaragoza belongs to the City of Zaragoza based on Aragon, have been in the first division since 1956, so imagine what the fans feel right now looking at their team almost in second division. A survey made in Spain showed that Real Zaragoza is the seventh team in Spain with the most fans, all of them supporting the Mexican coach Javier Aguirre which has distinguished as a low humbleness person but with high expectations as a coach. The stats lean toward Real Zaragoza on matches between them, from the last five games played Real Zaragoza has won three of them while Levante has won only two. Besides there´s no big difference in points, Levante is just three points ahead and is ranked twelve so for the closing of the season Spanish Division will have around 10 teams with a very similar performance. Of course that gives a good impression of the competition but what’s going on with those ten teams that cannot get into better positions? Mmm that’s something I truly don’t understand. Is it something about financial terms? I rather preferred not to think on that, I would say that is something about motivation or less credibility among the players. My prediction? Take Real Zaragoza and enjoy the game! Cheers!
