Rich Franklin put up these pictures on his website to prove he can be a good sport for losing to Forrest Griffin at UFC 126. The two joked that the loser of the fight would have to get a “big flaming dragon tattoo…” But Franklin points out a very important loop hole:

The 2011 ICC World Cup begins shortly and it was launched with an impressive opening ceremony in Bangladesh that was reported to have cost over £18 million to stage. As the captains of the teams were paraded around the Bangabandhu Stadium in rickshaws  an aerial cricket match was performed by acrobats against the backdrop of a vertical pitch. It is hoped that this event will go better than the poorly received 2007 World Cup in the Caribbean.

Over the next six weeks there will be 49 matches played across South Asia with the tournament being co-hosted with Sri Lanka and India along with Bangladesh. T

You know what they say about big heads? Big brains! And apparently Antonio Silva’s got one big sharp brain he used to beat Fedor Emelianenko. Fighters Only produced this interview from Fedor’s coach, Vladimir Voronov in which he blames “forbidden psychological technologies” that “could not be seen by the naked eye” for Fedor’s loss. Voronov’s interview was given to Russian website, Lifesports.Ru and we’re not sure how good the translation provided is, but here’s what it looked like at Fighters Only:

Manchester City travel to their arch enemies Manchester United this weekend and City manager Roberto Mancini will hoping to prove that his side are capable of catching up with the current Premier League leaders. City are just 5 points behind United and a win here will put them just 2 points behind them. However City have only managed to win on one occasion out of  their last 26 visits to Old Trafford and have failed to score in the their last four games against the Red Devils.

For the Manchester debry in City’s favour will be that Manchester United unbeaten record was shattered last week by Wolves who are fighting it out in the relegation zone.
