Kentucky Speedway will be the host for the inaugural race of the Quaker State 400 this weekend which can be seen live on TNT. The race will take place on Saturday evening at 7:30pm EST on TNT or can be heard on PRN radio beginning at 7:00pm EST. 2011 Quaker State 400 odds have listed Kyle Busch as the NASCAR betting choice to win to win the inaugural race. Vegas odds for Saturday night’s race have listed Busch as the 9/2 favorite to win at Kentucky followed by Carl Edwards at 5/1, Jimmie Johnson at 8/1 with Kurt Busch and Matt Kenseth listed at 9/1.
Busch will take the pole for the 1.5-mile tri-oval track as the favorite in Quaker State 400 odds as the #3 ranked driver on the Sprint Cup Standings having recently finishing 5th at last week’s Coke Zero 400 and 11th in the Toyota Save/Mart 350. NASCAR betting picks favor Busch to win since having 2-wins on the season at the Jeff Byrd 500 and Matthew & Daniel Hansen 400 with an average finish of 11.1 with 10-top ten finishes this year. Carl Edwards is currently in 2nd place of the Sprint Cup standings and will take the track as a 5/1 favorite in NASCAR odds having an average finish of 10.8 this season with 1-wins and 9-top 5 finishes.
Coming into Saturday night’s race on TNT, Edwards only win on the season came at the Kobalt Tools 400 and recently finished 3rd at Toyota/Save Mart 350 but is coming off a poor performance at the Coke Zero 400 last week with a 37th place finish. Jimmie Johnson will enter Saturday’s race as the third choice in 2011 Quaker State 400 odds for the inaugural race at Kentucky having 1-win this season with 5-top five and 10-top ten finishes this season. Johnson is currently 22-points behind points-leader Kevin Harvick and will take the track on Saturday night coming off a 20th place finish at the Coke Zero 400 last week.
Other top NASCAR betting choices for inaugural Quaker State 400 odds have Kurt Busch and Matt Kenseth at 9/1 with Tony Stewart rounding out the top picks at 11/1. Busch is currently ranked #4 in the standings with 4-top 5 and 9-top ten finishes this season. Busch is coming off a win at the Toyota Save / Mart 350 two weeks ago but then had a less than stellar performance at the Coke Zero 400 with a 14th place finish. Kenseth is coming off a second place finish last week with 6-top 5 and 9-top 10 finishes on the season. Stewart is currently ranked #12 in Sprint Cup standings, 92-points behind Harvick and is still looking for his first win on the season. While Harvick is #1 in points, he has been listed as a 16/1 longshot to win in Kentucky.
